The story begins sometime after the third season with Valtor defeated and the magical dimension safe for the time being. Bloom and her friends go on a search for Bloom’s parents, Oritel and Miriam, while trying to uncover the secret of the lost kingdom of Domino (Sparx in the American version) which could change Bloom’s life forever. The girls seek out Hagen, a blacksmith who forged the Sword of King Oritel which is said to be inseparable from its owner. But, after a small skirmish, Hagen states that he is unable to help Bloom in any way. Discouraged, Bloom returns to Earth, where she is visited in a dream by the spirit of her sister, Daphne. She encourages Bloom to continue the search for their parents and gives Bloom her mask, which will allow Bloom to see Domino as it was before Valtor and the three Ancient Witches destroyed it.
Traveling to the Obsidian Dimension, Bloom learns, after confronting an evil sorceress named Mandragora, that Miriam, Oritel’s wife, was absorbed inside the sword that Hagen had fashioned to be, literally, “fit for a king” before Domino met its apparent end (the entire planet was covered with ice and snow). However, only a king can release the sword and restore the entire realm to normal. To Bloom’s surprise, Sky – who reveals himself as the new King of Eraklyon because his father had abdicated the throne – is able to do this, which also returns Miriam to her human form. Bloom is finally reunited with her birth parents and Domino is reborn. During a party to celebrate this victory, Sky proposes to Bloom and she instantly accepts.
At the end of the movie, it is revealed that by destroying the Obsidian Dimension, the Winx unknowingly freed the Three Ancient Witches. They are shown with their descendants, the Trix, Icy, Darcy, and Stormy, which could imply that they have taken over their bodies.
